Until recently I was able to review books for the sheer pleasure (or otherwise!). Unfortunately being a sole freelancer, I am no longer able to do this without a fee.
It takes an average of 8 – 12 hours to read and review a book (including listing it on my CazVinBooks review website and promoting it at least once thereafter on main social media sites) which at my hourly rate would equate to minimally £160 / $197 / €184.
For more fees and info about my services, see: www.carolinevincent.co.uk
After careful consideration and respectful of authors’ budgets, I am now charging £75 / $93 / €86 for this review service per title up to a maximum of 70,000 words, then £8.50 per 10,000 words, whole or in part, thereafter.
Blurb & Review Service
Blurb £50 / 62 / €58
Review £75 / $93 / €86 *up to 70,000 words, see above
Blurb & Review: £100 / $124 / €116
I consider all genres of fiction (adult and young adult) and non-fiction, but this does not guarantee acceptance of a requested review.
Payment to be made in advance of the review, within seven days of acceptance of the title. An invoice will be raised for your reference.
This fee includes the above: reading, posting a review and promoting (at least once) to my profiles on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, GoodReads, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest and Bloglovin.
Authors of the relevant books, their publishers and promotional partners, are welcome to use their review/s, as a whole or constructive part (text not to be taken out of context) for replication on their own outlets, referring the original source.
Implementing a charge does not mean that I will be any more favourable in my review. They will still be honest and unbiased.

Basic information on the author
I strive to show my love for reading and my respect for the authors in the reviews I write. That implicates that I appreciate an author’s efforts and will always state the reasons why I thought something interesting, thrilling, fascinating – or not.
